Talking ASD and ADHD
A series of workshops for parents of children with diagnnosed or suspected ASD and or ADHD

Subjects include:

Talking Teens
A workshop for parents of children 12-19 years

We will help you to:

  • Understand teenage brain development.
  • Understand why their behaviour changes.
  • Identify why arguments escalate and how to stop this from happening.
  • Develop strategies to reduce conflict and improve communication.

Talking PreTeens
A workshop for parents of children 8-12 years

We will help you to:

  • Prepare for the teenage years and understanding how the brain develops.
  • Understand the link between behaviour and communicating difficult feelings.
  • Explore strategies for managing time spent on screens.
  • Keep your child safe online and when they are out.

Resilience & Motivation
A workshop for parents of children 3-19 years

We will help you to:

  • Understand how resilience develops and how your influence affects it.
  • Understand different types of motivation.
  • Create an environment that builds resilience.
  • Help your children develop the motivation they need to grow.

Stress & Anxiety
A workshop for parents of children 3-19 years

We will help you to:

  • The science of stress and anxiety.
  • Why appropriate stress can help us and learning how to cope with that.
  • When does stress and/or anxiety become a problem.
  • Preventing Stress from building up.
  • Responding to a stressed or anxious child

Mindset
A workshop for parents of children 3-19 years

We will help you to:

  • Understand how your child's Mindset affects their approach to learning.
  • Identify what you can do to encourage a Growth Mindset.
  • Learn how to respond to your children to help them work through challenges and want to improve.
  • Explore practical ways of encouraging independence.

Talking Technology
A workshop for parents of children 5-18 years

We will help you to:

  • Teach your children about what is acceptable online/social behaviour.
  • Manage techology use and time on devices.
  • Learn how to protect your child and teach them how to protect themselves.
  • Help young people to understand when an online encounter is not safe and what they can do about it.

Talking Tantrums
A workshop for parents of under 5s

We will help you to:

  • Understand why young children have tantrums.
  • What you can do to prevent and manage them.
  • Manage difficult or uncooperative behaviour.
  • Effective strategies to cope with bedtimes, mealtimes and other stressful times of the day.
  • Having fun together and reduce family stress.
